Students from St. Mary’s Grade School delivered gift baskets to Salina Regional Health Center on Wednesday as part of Catholic Schools Week.
Each class at the school made up one basket, containing snacks and other items, and they were given to workers by a few of the sixth-grade students outside the main hospital entrance just after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Kim Cochran, school registrar, said families and parents at the school found out they were collecting food and drinks for hospital employees and they were more than happy to help.
