He was ordained March 12, 1967, by Bishop G.G. Speltz in his native diocese of Owatonna, Minn.; ordained for the diocese of Salina.

1967 - Parochial vicar of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Junction City

1968 - Associate pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Plainville

1968 - Associate pastor of Seven Dolors Parish in Manhattan

1970 – Associate pastor of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina

1971 - Administrator of St. Joseph Parish in St. Joseph and St. Isidore Parish in Cuba

1975 - Administrator of St. Augustine Parish in Washington, Sacred Heart Parish in Greenleaf (built church while there) and SS. Peter and Paul in Morrowville; he was later named pastor of the parishes

1983 - Pastor of SS. Peter and Paul Parish in Clay Center and St. Anthony Parish in Miltonvale

1987 - Pastor of St. Boniface in Tipton

1991 - Pastor of St. Mary Parish in Ellis

1993 - Chaplain of St. John Hospital, which later merged with Salina Regional Health Center and St. Patrick Parish in Gypsum

1997 - Chaplain at SRHC while at St. Mary Queen of the Universe, Salina

1999 - Pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Solomon while continuing to serve St. Patrick Parish in Gypsum and the hospital

2021 - From priest supervisor of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Solomon and St. Michael Parish in Chapman to priest supervisor of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Solomon and St. Patrick Parish in Gypsum
