In His Presence
Helping young people spend time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration
In His Presence is a diocesan initiative, in partnership with the Adoratio Foundation, that invites high school and junior high students across the Diocese of Salina to develop the habit of spending regular time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration.
The goal of In His Presence is to help young people grow in their relationship with Jesus by making Eucharistic Adoration a regular part of their lives. Through time spent in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, students are invited to encounter Jesus personally, listen to Him, and grow in their faith.
Inspired by the example and intercession of St. Carlo Acutis, who had a deep love for the Eucharist and called it his “highway to Heaven,” In His Presence encourages young people to discover the peace and grace that come from spending time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
What Are We Asking of Our Students?
High school students will be invited to prayerfully consider making a commitment to regular Eucharistic Adoration this year.
For many students, that may mean a weekly Holy Hour. For others, the commitment will depend upon the Adoration opportunities available in their parish.
Every parish is different. Some have Perpetual Adoration, while others offer Adoration weekly, monthly, or at other regularly scheduled times. In His Presence is designed to work within those existing opportunities.
The goal isn’t for every parish to look the same. The goal is to give our young people opportunities in front of Jesus.
Led by Young People
One of the most important parts of In His Presence is the involvement of our young people themselves.
Each participating parish will identify two adults and two high school students to help lead the initiative locally. Teen leaders will share their own experiences of Adoration and personally invite other young people to spend time with Jesus.
The campaign will build from awareness and student testimony to personal invitation, commitment, and ultimately helping students make Eucharistic Adoration a regular part of their lives.
Supporting Our Parishes
Parishes will not be asked to create a new program from scratch. The Diocese of Salina will provide training, resources, a week-by-week campaign plan, bulletin and social media materials, student testimony resources, invitation ideas, and ongoing support.
Our hope is to work with each parish to make In His Presence fit naturally into the Adoration opportunities already available in their community.
Why In His Presence?
Relationships grow through time spent together, and lives are changed through an encounter with Jesus.
Our hope is that In His Presence will give our young people the opportunity to spend more time with Jesus and allow Him to work in their lives. We pray that through this time in Adoration, they will come to know Jesus more deeply, grow in their relationship with Him, and develop a habit of prayer that will remain with them throughout their lives.
Please pray for our young people and our parishes as we begin this effort. We are excited to see how the Holy Spirit works through In His Presence and, most importantly, through the time our young people spend with Jesus.

Training Dates and Times for Adult and Teen Leaders
At these meetings, we will walk through the campaign, make sure you have everything you need, answer any questions, and work with you to develop a plan that fits your parish.

Dates and times for ongoing weekly meetings for leaders
These meetings are optional and are simply here if you need them. They will give us a chance to get back together, help with any problems you may be having, share ideas about what is working in your parish, and answer any questions from your leaders. There is no requirement to attend.
