Sara VonFeldt
Sara was born and raised in Palco, Kansas, and has devoted her career to Catholic education and serving students and families in rural Kansas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University. Sara began her teaching career at Sacred Heart Elementary School in Dodge City, where she taught for one year before moving to Plainville and joining the faculty of Sacred Heart Grade School. During her 22 years in the classroom at Sacred Heart, she spent 21 years teaching sixth grade and one year teaching fourth grade. Her experiences as an educator have fostered a deep commitment to student learning, teacher collaboration, school improvement, and the mission of Catholic education. Sara begins is also of service as Principal of Sacred Heart Grade School while continuing her studies in educational administration through Fort Hays State University. She looks forward to supporting Sacred Heart’s students, families, faculty, and parish community while helping the school continue to grow in faith and academic excellence. Sara is a parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish in Plainville and St. Joseph Parish in Hays. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her extended family.
