Kim grew up in Yankton, South Dakota, where she attended the Catholic grade school and graduated from the local Catholic college, Mount Marty. She then attended Kansas State University, where she obtained a graduate degree in Institutional Management. After college, Kim worked for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, and then after marrying her husband Daryl she began working for the Salina Public Schools for 10 years. She also spent 10 years working for Tony's Pizza as the Human Resources Director, Training Manager, and Management Development Trainer. Before Kim joined the Salina Diocese Chancery staff she served as the HR Director for Solomon Corporation. Kim and her husband Daryl have 3 children and are active in their community and are members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Kim is known for being skilled in HR topics like training, job descriptions, career pathing, and other areas of employee support.
