Julie grew up in Hanover, Kansas and attended St. John’s Catholic School. She attended Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas and graduated with a degree in Education. In 2003 Julie began her teaching career at Manhattan Catholic School, which was the same year she graduated from Benedictine. Her entire life has been in the Catholic school system. In 2020, Julie was asked to cover a short term Interim Principal position, which turned into a Head Teacher/Assistant Principal position at Manhattan Catholic School. Since 2010, she has also been a volunteer high school religious education and Confirmation teacher in Hanover. Julie is often traveling between Manhattan and Hanover. She enjoys gardening/yard work, canning, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
