Catholic Charities of Northern Kansas is seeking a full-time Development Coordinator to join our development and communications team in Salina.

We’re looking for someone who loves both people and data — a hardworking, detail-oriented professional who enjoys keeping things organized, solving problems, and making sure the little things are done well. This role is an important part of our development team, helping us care well for our donors and keep the systems, mailings, campaigns, and details behind our fundraising efforts running smoothly.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage donor records, gifts, reports, mailing lists, and other information in Bloomerang.
  • Process gifts and help ensure donors are thanked accurately and promptly.
  • Support fundraising efforts such as our Annual Campaign, Green Tie Celebration, Baby Bottle Campaign, Giving Days, tax credits, and online giving.
  • Coordinate donor mailings, stewardship activities, supply drives, event materials, and other development logistics.
  • Work closely with development, communications, and finance staff to keep projects organized, accurate, and on schedule.

Who We’re Looking For:

Someone who is:

  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-through.
  • Comfortable working with data, technology, reports, and spreadsheets while also providing warm, professional service to donors.
  • A hard worker who takes pride in accuracy and getting things done well.
  • A problem-solver with good business sense who can manage multiple priorities and recognize when something needs attention.
  • A collaborative teammate who communicates well and isn’t afraid to ask questions.
  • Passionate about the mission of Catholic Charities and serving our neighbors throughout northern Kansas.

Two or more years of relevant experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Full-time employees receive a competitive benefits package including health coverage, paid time off, and a retirement plan, along with the opportunity to be part of a hardworking, mission-driven team committed to treating every person with dignity and compassion.

Prayer to St. Joseph for workers and those seeking employment

Silent and well-known carpenter in Nazareth, model of workers, by the work of your hands you gave your contribution to the work of the Creator, you earned your living, and you provided for the needs of the Holy Family. Intercede for all workers, in the difficulties of their daily lives especially for the unemployed, in their anxieties for tomorrow, so that through the guidance of God, the great Architect and Builder, they all may use their strength and talents to make visible God’s new creation, to offer a concrete service to society, and to earn wages worthy of their efforts. With confidence and trust we make this prayer through Jesus. Amen.
