Tom Meagher

Tom Meagher grew up in Solomon, Kansas and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Solomon. After graduation from Solomon High School, he completed his Bachelor's Degree at Fort Hays State University, majoring in music and math education. His teaching career began in the Hays Public Schools as the Director of Orchestras for the district. After two years there, he returned to his home area and served as the music teacher and parish liturgist at St. Mary's School and Parish in Salina. From there, he returned to his former occupation as Director of Orchestras in Hays for the next five years. During that time, he completed his Masters Degree in Educational Administration at Fort Hays State University. The remainder of his career has been serving as a school administrator, first as an Assistant Principal at Kennedy Middle School, next as Principal of Wilson Elementary School, and currently as Assistant Principal and Business Director at Thomas More Prep-Marian Jr/Sr High School.


Tom is married to his wonderful wife, Patty (Brungardt), who is currently the third grade teacher at St. Mary's Grade School in Ellis. They have celebrated 41 years together and have six children and seven grandchildren, all of whom currently live in Ellis County.
