Lori hails from a farm north of Clifton, Kansas, where she learned the power of hard work and good storytelling. She grew up attending St. Mary of the Assumption Church and was involved with St. John the Baptist's CYO group. She has volunteered at VBS, been a counsellor for Jr. CYO Camp, and led several Catholic college retreats in the diocese. Lori earned her bachelor's degree from K-State in Secondary Education with emphases in English and Journalism. She taught journalism and photography at Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School in Wichita for two years before returning to Salina. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of The Register. Lori has a passion for building relationships and making meaningful connections. Outside of work, she likes delving into photography, gardening, and linguistics.
