Fr. Henry Baxa

He was ordained to the priesthood on May 26, 1990, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Concordia by Bishop George Fitzsimons.


Assignments:


1990 - Parochial vicar at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Junction City

1992 - Pastor at St. Andrew Parish in Abilene

1994-2004 - Pastor at St. John the Baptist Parish in Beloit and St. Mary Parish in Glasco

2004 - Pastor at St. Andrew in Abilene and priest supervisor of St. Michael in Chapman since Junction City, Beloit and Abilene parishes all have parochial schools

2016 – Retired to residence in Belleville; assist in sacramental ministry

2019 - Parish administrator of St. Edward Parish in Belleville, St. Isidore Parish in Cuba and St. George Parish in Munden

Present - Serves on the Diocesan Clergy Health and Retirement Board and is moderator of the Diocesan Respect Life Commission

2022 - Transferred from being Parish Administrator of St. Edward Parish in Belleville, Kansas, St. Isidore Parish in Cuba, Kansas, and St. George Parish in Munden, Kansas, to be Priest Supervisor of the same parishes, with continued residence in the St. Edward Parish rectory

2024 - Appointed Priest-in-residence at St. Edward Parish in Belleville, Kansas

Present - Granted full retirement and relieved from all canonical appointments in the Diocese of Salina
