Mandy grew up in Colby, Kansas. As an elementary student, Mandy had the great blessing of attending Sacred Heart Elementary before continuing her education with the Colby Public Schools. After High School, Mandy received an associate’s degree from Colby Community College and her bachelor’s degree in education from Fort Hays State University. Mandy taught kindergarten for 15 years at Wilson Elementary School in Hays, Kansas, before returning to her roots and accepting the principal position at Sacred Heart Elementary School. Mandy has also been a CYO sponsor, junior CYO sponsor, and religious education teacher for over 15 years. Along with her husband, Mandy is currently the director of religious education for St. Nicholas of Myra Parish in Hays. Her husband Bill is a theology teacher, campus minister, and head boys basketball coach at Thomas More Prep-Marian. Together they have three children who attend Holy Family Elementary School.
