Lent 2026: The Rescue Project

During Advent 2024, Bishop Vincke invited every parish in the diocese to enter more deeply into the Acts XXIX framework (Created — Captured — Rescued — Response).

As we move closer to Lent 2026, every parish is once again encouraged to dive into the Acts XXIX framework. This time, by following the outline for the The Rescue Project’s 9-week series during each week of Lent in 2026.

The Rescue Project is a mission to reignite our Catholic faith by sharing the Gospel in a compelling way. Led by Fr. John Riccardo and the Acts XXIX team, this 9-week video series was created to encounter Jesus, build community, and deepen our understanding of the Gospel.

As we approach Lent, we are encouraging every parish to take the next step by hosting or forming small groups to experience The Rescue Project together. Parishes can use existing groups–families, men’s groups, women’s groups, Bible studies, RCIA teams–or create new Lenten groups specifically for this experience.

The Rescue Project is free and available in all languages.

No cost. Just join!
