Principals and school leaders from across the Diocese of Salina gathered on July 28 for a day of prayer, fellowship, professional learning and shared mission.
Guided by the theme “GO! Together, Let Us Be Disciples of Jesus on Mission,” the gathering offered leaders an opportunity to strengthen relationships, welcome new colleagues and prepare for the 2026–27 school year. Discussions focused on supporting students and teachers, strengthening high-quality instruction, navigating school improvement and accreditation, and preparing our schools for the future.
The purpose of the day was simple but important: to ensure our school leaders begin the year connected, encouraged and equipped to lead. Our principals do not travel this road alone. By learning from one another and remaining rooted in Christ, they are ready to return to their communities and help our Catholic schools grow in faith and excellence.
We are grateful to Bishop Vincke for celebrating Mass; to Alice, Mary and Linda at Sacred Heart Cathedral for providing a wonderful lunch for our school leaders and Chancery staff; and to Riverside Insights and Hallow for visiting with and supporting our leaders.
We also extend a special thank-you to The Garage for hosting our afternoon field trip and designing a creative scavenger hunt that encouraged principals to explore the museum, work together and get to know one another better. Their hospitality provided a fun and memorable finish to a meaningful day.
