Sheri Dahl

Sheri Dahl recently retired from her position as superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Tucson where she served the diocese for the past fifteen years. During her tenure at the Diocese of Tucson, Sheri was also a member of the National Catholic Education Association, she served as commissioner for the Western Catholic Education Association, and she was a member of the board for The Matthew 19:14 Project which serves students with special needs in Catholic schools. Sheri also worked for both Creighton University and Notre Dame University as a leadership coach in each of their Master’s in Educational Leadership programs. Prior to living in Arizona, Sheri spent three years serving in the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph as principal and then associate superintendent. Her career in Catholic education began over thirty years ago as an elementary Catholic school teacher in the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska. Since those first years as a third-grade teacher, she has taught students in grades K - 8 reading, Junior High Math and Algebra, and even Junior High Dance, which was one of her favorite classes to teach! After about ten years of teaching, Sheri became a principal in Lincoln and earned an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Doane University, Nebraska. Over the last eighteen years while serving in an administrative capacity, Sheri developed a passion for school leadership support. So, when she was invited to work with Principal Whitehair in an assistant principal capacity at St. Andrew’s School, she felt it was a call to “come home” to the roots of Catholic education – that of working in a parish school. Since relocating back to Kansas, Sheri and her husband enjoy golfing, walking, working on their acreage, and visiting with family and friends. Sheri is looking forward to meeting the St. Andrew’s parish/school community and supporting the faculty, staff, and principal in a most essential ministry of St. Andrew’s parish.
