Melanie grew up in Wichita, KS, where she attended Catholic Schools. She attended Wichita State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies. While at Wichita State, she met her husband, Brent, married and started their family. They moved to Assaria in 1995 and she began working at Sacred Heart Jr/Sr High School in Salina. She had several roles while at Sacred Heart, but spent most of her time there as the Business Manager. She and Brent have two children and two grandchildren. Melanie is a member of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and is the Religious Education Coordinator for grades 1 – 6. She joined the Development and Stewardship office at the Chancery in the fall of 2019 as Administrative Assistant and Data Specialist. She currently works in the finance office.
