Diane is a lifetime resident of the Salina Diocese. She grew up on a farm near Tipton and attended Tipton Catholic Schools. She has had a passion for storytelling since she was a youngster and began her writing career as a student at Fort Hays State University. After graduating from there with a degree in communication, she worked all of her professional career at The Hays Daily News and FHSU. Diane joined the diocesan communications team in July 2022 after retiring from FHSU. Her coverage concentration will focus on the diocesan schools and youth, but she will cover other diocesan news events as well. She is a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Church in Hays. She and her husband, Rex, enjoy following local and FHSU athletic teams and spending time in eastern Kansas with family.
