Avery Skocny
Avery was born and raised in Hays, Kansas, and attended Thomas More Prep-Marian Jr./Sr. High School. As a parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, she was involved in CYO, was a member of the Salina Diocese Youth Council, and was a Jr. CYO Camp Counselor. Avery went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Marketing, with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations at Kansas State University. While at K-State, she worked as a student social media content creator and videographer, creating content for the University's social media pages. She was also an active member of the leadership team and helped lead retreats at St. Isidore's Catholic Student Center, where she now works as the Director of Communications. In addition to this role, Avery is the Director of Video, Podcast, and Photography for the Salina Diocese. She finds great meaning in her work, especially in the opportunity to capture the Lord's grace and share it with His people. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, tackling projects around their home as they renovate it, and never passing up a good thrift store!
