Beth is a lifelong Kansan, growing up in a Catholic family in Wichita. She attended Cathedral Grade School and later graduated from Bishop Carroll High School. She earned a degree in art education from Emporia State University. She has two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and a lovely granddaughter. Beth Shearer has worked with nonprofits and fundraising her entire career. She has served as a consultant, chief fundraiser, executive director, and board member. Over the years, she has worked and served in the fields of education, early childhood education, community organizations, community foundations, churches, and health care. She is also a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), one of about 50 in Kansas. A few years ago, Beth was blessed to be able to merge her Catholic faith with that lifetime of professional work. In 2017, she assumed the role of Director of Stewardship and Development for the Salina Diocese.
